Education & Background
Ammon Garner, O.D., is a dedicated optometrist at University Vision Centre in El Paso, TX. Originally hailing from Idaho, Dr. Garner earned his bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Idaho State University and his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Since then, he’s worked at several optometry and ophthalmology practices before joining our team.
Although Dr. Garner relocated from the Midwest to El Paso to join University Vision Centre, he quickly proved to be a valued member of his community. He’s glad to be able to provide exceptional, personalized eye care to the wonderful neighbors he gets to meet through his work.

Get to Know Dr. Garner
Dr. Garner has made El Paso his home and often says how happy he is to have left the colder weather of the Midwest behind. He has a wife and two children and when he’s not taking care of his patients’ eyes, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active with his church, volunteering in his community, or getting very into sports.
